8/31/06 - Coachmen Introduces 2007 Class C Lineup

MIDDLEBURY, Ind. Industry leading designs, creative and innovative floorplans, unique features and styling enhancements inside and out sum up Coachmen’s impressive lineup of Class C motorhomes for 2007.

These changes have been driven by a major organizational change within the company that boasts a dedicated Class C sales and product team. This trained, skilled Class C sales team is supported by an equally skilled engineering team and led by a qualified product manager. This new team, responding to the voice of the customer, drives the product strategies, improvements and innovations.

"The voice of the customer has been the greatest influence in our Class C products and the many improvements incorporated in our 2007 line up," commented Michael R. Terlep, president of Coachmen RV Company, LLC.

"The voice of the customer has been the greatest influence in our Class C products and the many improvements incorporated in our 2007 line up," commented Michael R. Terlep, president of Coachmen RV Company, LLC.

Coachmen’s 2007 class C lineup consists of three models:

Leprechaun® Class C, high-end basement model unit which has undergone a complete redesign for 2007.

Leprechaun® Class C, high-end basement model unit which has undergone a complete redesign for 2007.

Concord™ C+, a low profile unit that is aerodynamic and easy to drive and offers more amenities than many high end diesel pushers, while boasting miles more features, value and exterior storage than competitive B+ products.

Concord™ C+, a low profile unit that is aerodynamic and easy to drive and offers more amenities than many high end diesel pushers, while boasting miles more features, value and exterior storage than competitive B+ products.

Freelander™ class C, a value packed Class C mini motorhome with tons of features and amenities and a superior price/value relationship.

Dealers that viewed Coachmen’s all new Class C line-up during the company’s Dealer Seminar responded enthusiastically to the new product. "We were overwhelmed by the dealer’s endorsements to the changes made on our 2007 Class C product line up," said Michael Hums, product and sales manager for Coachmen Class C’s. "Coachmen’s 2007 Class C product line has been streamlined and simplified, with a focus on higher product turns through a product that boasts incredible value and is simple to sell and more importantly, simple to buy."

The Leprechaun has been repositioned as Coachmen’s high-end, basement model Class C. "The unit comes loaded with tons of standard equipment, amenities and luxurious appointments," said Hums. Some of the innovative new features for the 2007 Leprechaun include your choice of side or cabover entertainment center with LCD television, perimeter rear cap with high visibility LED running lights, and extra wide fiberglass running boards, just to name a few.

The Concord is aimed at those RVers who want to downsize from larger RV’s without sacrificing the luxury of a larger coach or for those buyers who are looking for a "touring" vehicle. The Concord is easy to drive and handle, boasts improved gas mileage over a conventional motorhome and will take you wherever you want to go, whether it’s camping, touring or just out for a drive in the country. The innovative cut away cab area, 26-inch LCD TV, Bose® Wave Radio sound system and DVD player are just a few of the standard features that set the Concord ahead of the competition. Concord also counters typical competitor’s designs by providing the most in-class storage capacity.

In fact, outside storage space is an important item for all Coachmen Class C models. For instance, select Freelander and Leprechaun models have a giant rear storage compartment with three large access doors and a fold out picnic table. No more having to unload the entire cargo hold to find one item.

The Freelander Class C product consists of 7 floor plans; 3 non-slide floor plans on Chevrolet chassis and 4 slide floor plans on Ford chassis. A few of the Freelander features include 80-inch long residential rear queen bed mattresses (most models), huge 56 gallons of fresh water capacity, an extra tall 6 feet 10 1/2 interior ceiling height and much more.

The base MSRP for Freelander, $59,000, Leprechaun is $86,000 and for Concord, $77,000.

With Leprechaun, Concord and Freelander, Coachmen RV has established a line of Class C motorhomes that will appeal to a wide range of RVers.
