New Products!

Prompt RV Sunscreen now offers Awning Screens and Breathable Ground Mats.
We invite you to take a look at our new product offerings.

No More Snaps, Drilling or Climbing

Prompt RV Sunscreen Company offers a sun-and-privacy screen for motorhomes that secures to most coaches without drilling holes. Our patented Anchor System allows the screens to be attached from the ground in approximately 30 seconds.

Available in off-white, beige, gray, black and brown

Fast, Easy and No More Climbing !

Our Sunscreens are as Easy As 1-2-3

Hook .... Unroll .... and Relax

An aluminum bar in each end of the screen makes the sides rigid, allowing it to be rolled across the windshield from ground level. It is held in place with two tension straps and Kwik Klips attached to the side window frames (center door models), or to either a suction cup mount, the rain gutter, or a support plate (front door models) on the passenger door entry side. This eliminates the need for Snaps, Drilling or Climbing. The screen permits those inside the coach to look out during daylight hours, while preventing anyone from looking in.

In addition to the windshield screen, Prompt makes a line of accessory covers for your side windows, mirrors and tires. All with the same quick and easy installation.

We invite you to browse our website and see our innovative sunscreens. Take a look at our Sunscreens Page for more information and pictures. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thanks for stopping by and we look forward to hearing from you.

01/09/09 - Take our survey and win a GPS system!

Get the diesel scoop at our booth

We want to know what you like! The Workhorse Custom Chassis booth is
No. 145 just inside the main entrance in Expo Hall at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa next week. On your way in, we ask that you stop at our booth and fill out a survey about your motor home preferences.

The first 100 who complete the survey will receive a Workhorse branded thermos. And everyone who completes the survey will be entered in a drawing for a GPS System. There will be two to give away. Surveys must be completed by 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, and the drawing will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18. Need not be present to win.

We can also direct you to Damon Motor Coach booth (No. 775) or the Four Winds International booth (No. 895), where you will find two of the exciting new Class A coaches built on our new front engine diesel motor home platforms. These coaches are the
31 ½-foot Avanti motor home from Damon, built on the Workhorse W16D, a 16,000 lb. GVWR platform, and the 32-foot Serrano motor home from Four Winds built on the Workhorse W20D platform, a 20,500 lb. GVWR chassis. The Avanti has been featured in national news coverage of the RV industry and dubbed "2009 Coach of the Year" by one RV website. The Serrano was one of the highlights at the National RV Trade Show in December.

Both the W16D and W20D chassis will be on display at the Workhorse booth, along with the 2009 Chevy Workhorse Class C chassis that now features expanded towing capacity and best-in-class carrying capacity.

Powered by MaxxForce™ 5 and MaxxForce™ 7 diesel engines, both Class A Workhorse platforms bring diesel pulling power along with fuel savings to smaller motor homes, while also taking advantage of the smooth ride and slick handling of Workhorse's most proven chassis models.

A new synergy

These front engine diesels are the clearest examples yet of the synergy that Workhorse and its parent company Navistar are developing to benefit RV buyers. Navistar is a world-leader in diesel power. Its MaxxForce engines are designed for fuel efficiency and will be effectively enhanced with streamlined 2010-compliant emissions control without sacrificing performance. Navistar's vast resources give Workhorse long-term staying power as one of the RV industry's leading innovators in chassis design. So come to Tampa. We want to know what you think of our new diesel platforms and what you're looking for in a motor home. You'll help us stay ahead of the curve as the customer's advocate to the RV industry.

See you there!

01/09/09 - Workhorse says: Diesels "R" Us

Workhorse diesels are ready for takeoff. The RV public will get its first view of Workhorse's latest front engine diesel, the W20D, at the Florida RV SuperShow Jan. 14 to 18 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa (Workhorse Booth 145 in the Expo Hall).

Show goers will also get the first public look at one of the first all-new Class A motor homes built on the Workhorse W20D — the 2009 Serrano from Four Winds International (Booth 895 by the West Midway). Small, aerodynamic and fuel efficient — the just over 32-foot Serrano boasts both diesel power and diesel amenities.

The Workhorse W20D chassis is part of the signature pair of Workhorse W20/W22 gas chassis (20,500 lb. and 22,000 lb. GVWRs) that have been converted into a front engine diesel platforms. These are proven platforms upon which Workhorse has built its reputation in the RV industry. Their well-regarded ride and handling, among other features, have made them our most popular gas platforms with RV owners. Now these same features are matched with an exceptional diesel engine.

Fuel efficient power

The Serrano design enhances the fuel efficiency provided by the MaxxForce™ engine from Navistar, with a sleek, aerodynamic front cap and sidewalls that makes it "a looker" among new motor home models. The 6.4L MaxxForce 7 diesel is a V8 powerplant that puts out 230 hp and 620 lb.-ft. of torque. It is also a "clean" diesel that provides an in-cylinder Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system to achieve NOx emission reduction and meet stringent emissions standards without sacrificing performance or fuel economy.

Smaller but still better

With two floorplans, the Serrano offers a lot in a small package, beginning with massive "MEGA" storage in the basement. Deluxe European-inspired and heated rear view mirrors, Infiniss™ leather U-shaped dinette, slick fiberglass with full-body paint, European style cabinetry and fixtures, and a complete outside entertainment center (optional) are some of the immediate attractions.

A closer look reveals such diesel-like features as an optional electric lateral arm patio awning, side-hinged aluminum luggage doors and an eight-foot double door refrigerator. "The Serrano makes it very comfortable for people to move from a larger to a smaller Class A," said Jon Krider, Four Winds director of marketing. "Its smart looks are also attractive to first time buyers."

Workhorse will have the W20D chassis on display with its other new platform, the W16D, a 16,000 GVWR front engine diesel that uses the 4.5L MaxxForce™ V6 engine. In internal testing, the W16D achieved up to 70 percent better fuel economy than chassis with competing Class A motor homes.

Workhorse will also show the upgraded Chevy Workhorse Class C cab chassis for 2009. The new Chevy Workhorse Class C offers a huge boost in towing capacity and now boasts best-in-class payload capacity.

A diesel for every segment — now

"Our new ‘W' chassis now bring diesel fuel efficiency to every segment of the Class A market. They show that we intend to be a serious player in the diesel market," said Bill Walmsley, Workhorse director of marketing. "By adapting the MaxxForce engines to our popular gas platforms, we've made it easy for RV manufacturers to put many existing floorplans on them right now, while also supporting the development of new, more fuel efficient motor homes, like the Serrano."

"We expect to ramp up our push into the diesel market in 2009, and we will continue to offer proactive solutions to the industry that help meet consumer needs. We invite everyone to come and take a look!"
