Our company was launched in January of 1998. The business was founded by Guenther Beuerle after deciding to patent one of his many great ideas. Guenther loved to take trips in his motorhome but decided he would like to have a sunscreen to block the heat, give him privacy, and still be able to enjoy his view. The only problems were the fact that he did not want anyone drilling holes on his coach and with his knees he did not want to climb a ladder.
Guenther, being the owner of a tool and die business (Prompt Machine & Engineering Company ), went to work on his new project- a sunscreen that would go on the coach from the ground without any drilling or permanent fasteners. As you can imagine there was some time involved in making this work. Guenther never gave up the goal and made his final screen for his coach that he would be proud of to show his friends. Naturally they also were amazed by what he designed and how it truly would be able to install “FROM THE GROUND”. After making a few screens for his friends he decided to take their advise and patent his work ( January 2000, Patent #6015180 ). The company would be (dba) PROMPT RV SUNSCREEN.
Now he also had the task of designing a way to mass produce the product. Not using any patterns he created a method of cutting the screens that would give all the different radiuses and sizes of all the different windshields. Measuring all the different coaches would now be recorded and updated continuously as new models came out . Machinery would be developed to make all the parts and bars for the “ ANCHOR BAR SYSTEM ”.
Needless to say the idea took off and the orders started rolling in. Deciding that more help would be needed he offered a job to his son-in-law (Bill Rex) to help promote, manufacture, and sell the sunscreens. Next would be starting to do different trade shows to expose the product that actually did work as described. Building a satisfied customer base has always been our goal. Currently we are happy to say that we have over 11,000 customers and growing!
We now offer ,new this year, awning screens and ground mats to our sunscreen product line. The addition of these items allows the customers to complete their coach. Either one of these items will make your stay more enjoyable when relaxing!
