Description: We spent three nights in early August of 2010 at this NEW, lovely RV Resort located in Empire, Michigan - just south of Sleeping Bear Dunes State Park. The management was VERY accomodating and everything seemed to be run flawlessly - especially for only having been open about three months. We had an escort to our site, which was on a poured, stamped and stained concrete pad with patio - and a nice fire ring. The campground is set back in the woods and was VERY quiet! Roads and pads were wide and long, and sites were not close together. However, they have not built a clubhouse yet - so the only public restrooms are two very old and dirty ones in the old campground next door or the ones up at the check-in building in the front near the pool. Both are a LLLLOOONNNGGG walk. :-) I would love to visit them again in 2011 or 2012 to see how they've progressed since it appears to be a well organized operation. They served a HUGE, tasty breakfast on Saturday morning in a pavillion overlooking the pond and waterfall.

Pros:
Cons:

This review is based on a 7 night stay in September 2010. Their contact number is 800-224-4488 or www.indigobluffs.com. This is a new resort. There is a unique "Quad" design for many of the lots. The facilities are not yet complete. What was there was outstandingly maintained. The resort is rural. It is about 4 miles from a very nice sand beach on Lake Michigan. If one does not mind cold water, Lake Michigan is a great place to swim or take advantage of other water sports. It is as goos as the ocean without all the salt water mess. Everyone gets a concrete pad with full hookups. Currently there is a pool and exercise room. It is very quiet. The town of Empire is about 3 1/2 miles away. It has a grocery store. The store is small (about 1/4 the size of a regular grocery store) but seems to be full service. There is also a post office and gas/diesel station. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore park is about 7 miles away. This National Park is much more than I expected. One can rent or buy a lot.

Within a 30 mile radius there is just about any kind or entertainment and restaurant one could want. PM me if you'd like the location of the restaurant that prepares an outstanding broached chicken. Yep, broached is the word. It is not a misprint.

I would give this resort a 10 if the facilities were built.

Pros: unique layout makes for great privacy, super friendly staff and owner, fun meet and greet weekly, large sites
Cons: not many shade trees, too far for good grocery shopping

We are staying there now for 27 days and love the place and our site has a great wilderness view.....its close to Glen Lakes and Glen Arbor the sand dunes....lots to do just a long drive to Traverse City for Groceries...if you come here be sure to do the Platte River float!!!

Pros: Great campground in one of the best areas in MIchigan.
Cons: no cable TV or WiFi, cell phone service can be spotty.

We have spend a week here during 2012 and 2013. Quiet, rural and close to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Sleeping Bear has one of the best beaches in America at Glen Haven. Be sure to drive the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive. We like to visit Cherry Republic in Glen Arbor and Fishtown in Leland. The drive to Northport is scenic and the light house at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula is a fun visit. Kids love to climb the dunes at Sleeping Bear Dune Climb. Be warned, it's high and hard work. Lake Michigan is much farther then many think once at the top of the dune.

Indigo Bluff is in our favorite part of Michigan and we go as often as we can.
