Sites are laid out incorrectly for "big-rigs"
|
|
This is a nice campground - but I disagree with the advertised "super sites". These sites look to be the same size as the other sites but you do pay the "super price" to be in these sites.
The campground claims to be Big-rig friendly, but you can see that the new big rig sites are not very level. You do get a level 12x35 pad to park on-but then you have a sloped area. Most big-rigs have the door up the front-yet you step onto large rocks instead of the concrete in these sites.
They tend to overwater every site. You are walking in a marsh at every location. You have to step in the marsh to get to the 8x10 paver patio...which is too small to allow basement doors to open without moving table into the marsh.
Some shaded sites will allow satellite reception - but you must be careful of low branches.
The big-rig friendly sites will not be big-rig friendly once the trees have grown. You will have just enough clearance to pull out of the site without running over landscape if you have a toad.
(Look at posted photos to get idea of present and future problems.)

tidy, very nice shower/restrooms

is an old KOA
|
|
We stayed here when it was a KOA. The Premiere RV Resort definitely cleaned the place up! I agree with earlier post, it is still small for "big rig" environment as the last time we stayed there on an end lot even a truck pulling a 5th wheel, wiped his trailer out on the front of our RV :( it was a bummer of a New Year. Would still stay there again, just sayin' it was an old KOA so that's the kind of layout of the grounds.

Pros:

Convenient off I-5, quiet, friendly folks
|
Cons:
|
small sites

Friendly staff. Shade trees if you want it. Local restaurants will deliver to your site. (Indian food was very good). EZ dog walking area. Morning newspaper at your door in early AM.
