Description:

This CG is located right off of exit 111 on I75.
Their contact number is 419-738-6016. That exit also has a couple of truck stops with diesel and gas. There are also several chain restaurants. The CG has all the usual KOA ammenities. There is a very large playground for kids. The CG is well maintained and very neat and clean. The rest rooms and showers have a bit of wear and tear, but are very clean. There is a store and they make pizza and will deliver it to your coach. The sites are gravel. It is real gravel with not a weed or blade of grass invading where the coach is parked. There are back in and pull through sites. WIFI is free. Most all sites have 50 AMP electric.

This review is based on a 1 night stay in September 2010. The WIFI was horrible. The sites are not level (they do look level but are not level). If you go and want SAT TV tell them when you make your reservation. Some sites will get SAT TV and some will not. Power is weak. Cudos to my Surge Protector Transformer. It earned it's keep one more time. Power was weak with the CG largely empty. The store is well stocked. For the price paid expect good power and WIFI.

I have stayed at several KOA's over the years, but none have been better than the Wapakoneta, OH KOA! It is so very clear the owners of this KOA care not only about the grounds but the campers as well.
I have stayed at the Wapakoneta KOA twice over the last two years and each time I've been treated to first class service. I have always been made to feel extremely welcome and valued as an RV'er while there.
The owners are a couple who bought the KOA sixteen years ago. This place is immaculate. I've included a picture of the lot I chose. After I left, they put fresh mulch down--it didn't look like it needed it to me! If you are ever in the Wapakoneta, OH area and need a place to camp, check out this KOA. You won't be disappointed!
