Description:
|
Located on Route 321 North in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It is about 13 miles from route 321/441 intersection and 15 miles from I 40. This resort has a 40 foot coach length limitation. This limitation is true. Do not try to bring a coach longer than that into the resort. Over the years the resort has morphed into a park model resort. The resort is over 25 years old. There are sites that are rented. The resort has mature trees everywhere. The facilities are well maintained. There is an onsite restaurant (light dining). The sites are very small. They are paved 50 AMP full hookup sites. Many of the rental sites are not level. There is cable TV, two pools, tennis courts, a fishing lake, mini golf, a small play ground and two creeks that run through the resort.

This review is based on a 6 night stay in October 2010. The sites are very narrow. With trees everywhere, if you want satellite TV tell them that when you make the reservation. We had site 342. We were able to get Direct TV. WIFI is available at no additional cost. At our site WIFI was poor. The resort maintenance is above average. There is no cellular voice service in this resort, if you have AT&T cellular. Our Verizon voice service worked from the registration parking lot, but not from our site. Both these phones have 3 WATT boosters. Both AT&T and Verizon data services worked from our site. The road to the resort is heavily patrolled by local police. with a speed limit of 35 and 34 MPH is must be a real money maker.
This resort is not what we expected and we will not stay here again.

Pros:
|
Clean and well kept , nice pools , friendly staff , level sites , paved roads
|
Cons:
|
12 mi from Gatlinburg, small sites
|
|
We stayed there 9 nights in Oct 2011. We got a level site right on the lake that had a fire pit, a grill, good Wi Fi recpt, and cable tv. We had strong 50 amp electric and good water pressure. All roads were paved no gravel or dusty roads. It has lots of mature trees and bushes. I dont think a sat dish would work well there, but the cable worked good.
It has a large population of park models but we still felt welcome there.
The sites were small, but not to small, we had plenty of room in a 38' motorhome.
The pools were closed but they were very large and looked well kept.
There is a nice golf course about 1 mile away.
The local residents were nice.
The entire park was pet friendly to our small dog.
Our Verizon voice service worked on 1 of our 2 phones.
We enjoyed our stay there and would go back.
