Description: Nice, clean, privately owned. Around 150 sites, most full service some water and power only. The is a beautiful campground with easy access to the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro. The Zoo is the largest open range Zoo in the Nation. Great place for the adults and kids alike. Many activities and very clean and hospitable pool. Been there many times and have loved it every time. Previously called Banjo Creek.

Pros: Clean, Friendly, Nice setting
Cons: Sites need maintenance - leveling

Stayed there during trip from Arkansas to Wilmington, NC, where we live. Stayed an extra night because we really enjoyed being there.

Pros: Really has upgraded campground during off season
Cons: Weak wi-fi

We were here July 27-30, 2012 for Good Sam Camping in motorhome.
New owners gutted the bathhouses and started over. Wife was impressed with showers. They have removed a lot of stumps, reworked many of the gravel roads. Also remodeled pool and upgraded childrens playground area. Wonderful staff who welcomes you, good attention to details-very clean park, mowed, etc. We had a massive rainstorm on Saturday night and on Sunday morning at 8:00, the staff was out leveling and scraping the roads and repairing any washouts. Very close to NC Zoo, Seagrove NC potteries are 9 miles away and wonderful day tour. Also picked up some fresh Candor NC Peaches. We will return with grandchildren.

Pros: Family friendly, fun for kids, friendly staff
Cons:

Great stay for visit to the zoo, nice campground, friendly campers and good hookups. Sites a little tight and some road noise, but very enjoyable stay.
