Description:
|
Situated about 6-7 miles from the Gettysburg National Park.
Gravel roads and sites. Hilly terrain so the sites are mostly elevated from one another. Sites are shaded with tall mature trees.
Some deluxe sites which are pull through. Most sites are back-in.
Laundry, Pool, limited market in office.

Staff was helpful. Laundry facility decent. Mini-Golf worthless!
Most of the campground's terrain was somewhat hilly so the campsites provided some degree of privacy due to the fact they were elevated from one another. Deluxe sites are best - none available for our travel time. Deluxe sites are pull-thru with a nicer picnic table, fire pit, and a log-type double swing in front of the fire pit.
Pool was closed for the season. They do offer shuttle bus service with a paid bus tour ticket of Gettysburg NP. Bath houses/restrooms were individual with toilet, sink and shower. They could have been cleaner. While the campground was decent, it appeared to have some deferred maintenance. It could have been a bit nicer.
They have free WiFi but cannot comment as we did not use it.

This is by far the nicest KOA we have stayed at. We had a deluxe pull thru site that included a nice picnic table, fire ring, charcoal grill, and a covered wooden seat/swing for 2. It is also the first (and only so far) place that had a fenced pet play ground. The staff was very helpful and the camp store was well stocked. I would highly recommend this KOA.

We have visited this campground before and just like this weekend it was extremely well maintained and the staff very helpful as they directed us to out site before we checked in. The campground has invested in proper maintenance with fresh clean gravel and big rig friendly sites. We were in our 40 foot RV and had plenty of room to park our RAM 1500 which we tow on the site. The fire rings are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this campground which is minutes from Gettysburg and the battlefields. A++
