Description:

This is a State Park located about 8 miles from Great Sand Dunes National Park, near Mosca, CO. It is high desert, no shade, but has electric and dump station and water available. Sites are remote with beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Each site also has a wind/shade shelter, fire ring and picnic table. I don't think too many people know about this park, there were only 3 other people here in mid-September. If you want quiet and great stargazing, this is the place.
Also, decent ATT (cell phone) and Verizon (data stick) signals, unusual for a remote desert location!
Cost is $20/night+$7/day admittance fee, a bit pricy for a state park but worth it in my opinion.
