Description: Campground was clean, beautiful, quiet there was a train that rolled by and blew its horn at 3:20 am. I love this place and will go back. There is 3 small fishing lakes. A commons area that had a pool table tv and bathrooms.
The sites had full hookup. You can find them on the web at redgatecampground.com.
If you want to see Savannah you can call Orglethorpe tours they will pick you up and bring you home for no extra charge. Of course you gotta go on their tour but the tour was wonderful!! They were wonderful too called me and made sure I got home. Oglethorpe went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable time in Savannah. JD at Red Gate was right there for us and helped us hook up for our first RV experience at 8:30 pm at nite! Wonderful experience!!! It is going to be hard to find another site like this I am sure!
JD said if I needed anything he would make sure it was done. What a beautiful place. I had a space in the back 3B and had the old trees with the moss hanging off gorgeous!! Had a picnic table and a fire pit. Level lot.

Pros: Very relaxed environment....owners very accommodating. This is not a resort but rather a retreat.
Cons: I would not call it a negative however this campground is basically for tourists...no activity schedule.

Reminded me of a small plantation. We were lucky enough to rent one of the three premium sites under the trees and it was absolutely lovely.

Pros: Great staff and location
Cons:

We visited last month during presidents weekend . The weather was cool but we were able to enjoy ourselves . My daughter is planning on going to SCAD so we will be staying here in the future .
