I believe to be the nicest state park in Va. 20 minutes to downtown Richmond. Very secluded park. New section (this Year) is level, 50 amp service, clean restrooms, nice laundry. Open to first weekend in December. Can accomodate 40' units, some pull thrus. Privacy sites. Wood and ice available.
With in park many hiking trails, good fishing, swimming, horse trail, biking.

This is a great park. Being an outdoor enthusiast, I was in heaven. Lots of Mountian bike single track trails just for bikes. Lots of hiking trails, well groomed. Nice lake for kayaking, pool, & our new adventure Geocaching. Only there for one night about 24 hours, didn't want to leave. Definately will be back if we are ever in the area.

Stayed here 4/26-29/2018 while my son was running in a Ragnar Relay Race at this park. Nice wide spaces, good OTA reception. Sites 1-65 are in the old section and are for smaller rigs and tents. The upper loop accommodates larger rigs. I had a nice stay. Don't let your GPS get you there via the Powhite Expy as it is a toll road. Take I95 to VA288 instead.
