Description:

This is basically a fishing camp. They have fish cleaning stations and full hook-up RV sites. The sites are ok but nothing special except for being near the lake with boat access. The community center looked like it hasn't been used in a while and the pool was not filled (though it was October when we were there). The Tennis Courts are long gone. The best part of this park is that is is only about 8 miles from Providence Canyon State Park where you can go and hike the canyons.
You can make a reservation but no specific site can be chosen until arrival. Park along the road at the Visitors Center to register and pay. Parking for this is not ideal. Otherwise, if you already have a reservation, you can probably pick your site and then walk back up to finish registering. Reservations 800-864-7275, Park 229-838-6870

Nice quit park with a number of pull thru sites. If you have dogs, be very mindful of alligators near the river.
