Description: White Lake State Park offers some of the best swimming in the White Mountain region. Guests are welcome to enjoy a leisurely walk around the lake on a well-maintained footpath while looking for loons or signs of beaver activity, try their hand at the good trout fishing the lake provides, or check out one of the boat rentals. The park offers a day-use area, group areas, and a campground with family campsites as well as youth group sites. Swim in warm clear water oversee by daytime lifeguards, or walk on soft clean sand. The water depth is very gentle, making it great for toddlers and lounging. A camp store, coin-operated showers, dump station, playground, ice, firewood and boat rentals are available. The bathrooms and showers are clear and well maintained. Enjoy trout fishing, swimming, canoeing, and hiking. No hookups available.

Pros: private sites, sandy beach with warm clear water, clean bathrooms, nature hike
Cons: no hook-ups, not "big-rig" friendly

We found the CG very enjoyable, family oriented and friendly. Activities included free "Discoveer the Power of Parks" program, bicycling, hiking, and swimming. The sites off groomed dirt roads were level and wooded; accommodating tents to mid-rigs but no hook-ups. The typical CG bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Playgrounds and swimming/paddle-boating in the lake included a shoreline of clean soft sandy beach and clear water. The paved perimeter campground #1 road was best to navigate motorhomes/trailers. A walk across Rt. 16 from the entrance is a country store, mini-golf and go-cart rides. We stayed in site 1 14 with our grandkids 8/15-18/2014 in a 29.2 ACE motorcoach.
