Pros: Its a very Nice place
Cons: no sewer at sites but they have great restrooms.

I have lived in Ft Worth Texas for almost 40 years and never been to Palo Duro before and after my first trip there we will be coming back. At night you hear the Coyotes and their pups howl and all the other critters. You hear nothing but nature it self.
It's a state park and very well maintained.

Pros: Large state park, lot of hiking opportunities
Cons: some sites get very muddy after a good rain

Made a stop here on the way to CO and am ready to return for a longer stay. A beautiful state park. Plenty of space to break out the bicycle. The site we stayed at was large enough for whatever you weekend setup contains (grill, horseshoes, etc.).

Pros: Beautiful scenery.
Cons: None

Stayed one night in May, 2015. Beautiful area, close to nature. Woke up in the morning with three deer outside the rv. It rained quite a bit during the night, and one of the low water crossings was closed due to high water. Would definitely return.

Pros: Great wooded campsites, private, lots of wildlife
Cons: Steep drive to get into the canyon

What a wonderful place to stay! You drive down into the canyon to the campground so you are way below "ground level" so it gets dark early. The campsites are easy access and fairly well shaded and private. We had a number of deer that just wanted to stay within 20 feet of our MH. And the wild turkeys also kept parading by. There is a great visitors center and some historic cabins for non-campers. Definitely worth the visit!

Pros: Beautiful area, very good hiking, good amenities
Cons: Monir issue - no sewer BUT has a dump station

We were there the first week of November 2021. It is a great park, the site was good size, level and the area (canyon) is beautiful. Great camping, great hiking, good store and horseback riding all in the park. Clean bathrooms.

Only a few hours NW of Ft Worth definitely worth the drive and planning to go back in the spring.
