Pros: Mostly level sights, great picnic table covers, friendly staff, close to Austin
Cons: Lake side loop can get noisy/crowded.

Jim Hogg is our favorite weekend getaway park. The trail system is great. Lots of great, shaded sites to pick from with lots of trees/privacy and space between them on the upper loop. Can choose your exact spot at reservation time online.

Lower loop on the lake is less private and has fewer trees, but if you're a water person you may enjoy the lake views and boat ramp access.

Lower loop has 50 AMP spots, upper loop has 30 AMP spots. Dump station on the way out.

Bathrooms are OK, but can be cold in winter and crowded in summer. We use our RV facilities instead.
