Description:
|
Small but well-maintained Corp of Engineers park (got it at half price using our Am the Beautiful card). Made reservations on line. Fully paved, with boat launch and walking path. River goes right by and you occasionally see barges floating by. Lots of trees and a short walking path. Bath house with laundry...and air-conditioned. We went for a pull through, although there were several nice back in spots (see one of the photos) right on the water. Our 40' RV fit just fine. No tv that night...trees blocked the signal. Long way from a town...just a nice quiet place to stop or stay. Full hookups (50 amp, water and sewer). 51 sites. Need to book through Recreation.gov and you can get info from there, too.

I put this campground into the database, so my review is with the initial campground description (didn't bother cut and pasting). We like
Corp of Eng parks because of the America the Beautiful discount. Reservations on line at recreation.gov. You pick your campsite. We went for a pullthrough, and if you look there are several back-ins right on the water with plenty of space and a great patio overlooking the water. Why not a "ten"?....ok...it deserves it as long as you understand there is no pool, and not much else to do but sit around and listen to the quiet.
