Description: This campground is very convenient to historic Richmond and within 2 hours of the Northern Virginia/ Washington DC area. It has 198 full sites and can handle big rigs. Within 1 mile drive of I-95.

There are many long term units here and many are in disorder, distracting from the campground. Though less than a mile drive from the exit off of I-95, it borders the same and can be very noisy.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We paid $50/night and stayed 5 nights.

Pros: Covenient loacation, clean facilities
Cons: Too many long term units , many in deteriorated condition

Too many long term units in need of repair or good cleaning, as well as the grounds around them should be better controlled.

Pros: Friendly staff, good power/wi-fi, free waffles & ice cream
Cons: Sites very close, road noise from I95

It was a rainy weekend but we had a nice stay at Americamps RV Resort. Lots to do in the area. Went to Redskins Training Camp, Center of the Universe Brewery, James River Winery. If I had put my awning out it would have touched my neighbor's slide out. The I95 noise issue can be solved with earplugs and running your AC/fan.
