Description:
|
This is a campground owned by the city of Gadsden. Going there make sure you go to the 1600 Noccalula Road address (traffic light at the entrance). There is another section of the park on the opposite side of the stream that is 1400 Noccalula Road but is not the campground, signage is small and easily missed. The majority of campsites are full hookup. Good cable TV, over 60 channels, poor WIFI. Some of the campsites are very close together and some will require precise driving to back in to due to the trees. A few pull throughs but mostly backins. Water and Electric are at the rear of the lots and may require extra water and sewer hose or power extensions. We had lot A17 and the water hookup was in a meter vault and shared with the site next to us (note the photo). Some lots have above ground water hookup. Nearly all lots have level concrete pads. The park is on a hillside and there is a waterfall in the park (when it rains). A swimming pool and mini-golf when in season. Quite surroundings, close to fast food and not far from a shopping area. We paid $21.00 and were in the park for a rally. A nice pavilion for large gatherings and also an enclosed dining hall. Park personnel were very nice and helpful. We will be back for the rally next year.

We loved our four day stay at the park, the cable tv was good, the wifi wasn't great but adequate (it seems it only worked during the daylight hours). The staff were polite and helpful. We came for the "Worlds Longest Garage Sale" in August, and had a great time. We did not use the bath house, but we were told it was well maintained.
