We had the best stay here of any where we have been.Glen and Marcy the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome.Marcy runs the office glen takes care of the campground. He collects the trash and cleans the fire pits every day.if you are around he will ask how are things and do you need anything. This place has you tucked back into the pines well shaded on nice gravel lots. You are just a few miles from every thing here.We had to get used to how quiet is was there at night we have never been in a campground that quiet. We are looking forward to going back next year.

Pros:

Large pine trees, deer, great owners/hosts
|
Cons:

Terrible dust bowl

Glen and Marcy are great hosts. They are in their 3rd year of ownership and are working to make this campground a top-notch Custer home-away-from-home. Infrastructure is in dire need of upgrading -- 30amp power is outdated and, at times, very low voltage. The biggest complaint we had was the dust - roads, and pads need to be resurfaced with gravel. The dust was so bad that it collected on anything unprotected.

We absolutely love this campground. Ron and Angie are excellent owner/hosts and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It was like meeting old friends for the first time. The location was great, a short drive to the Crazy Horse Memorial, Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park. We spent a wonderful four days here and will gladly come stay here again.
