Description: If you love Florida prairie camping this is the place. The Big Rig sites are on a rise and each campsite is huge. Full hook up.
For tents and small campers the River Campground is under 'forever' renovation but when completed should be a nice get away.
Ideal for bikers; roads and miles of bike trails from paved to incredibly difficult. Take helmets.
River access rents boats and kayaks for a backwoods adventure.

Pros: Very large area good for bikes and kayaks. Great dining a short drive away
Cons: Laid out by someone that never camped

This is not a bad place to stay but the layout of the camping areas was odd. The closest dump station to the river loop camp area is 4+ miles away. Forget about using you grey water tote. Also, the bath houses are lit up like sports arenas. We actually had to hang towels over the windows to cut down on the light. The other camp loop is directly on the main highway and while we didn't stay on that loop I imagine the road noise was a little much. Given the tremendous amount of land this park has, you would think that they could have done better. Other than those irritations the park is great. Bike riding is fantastic and so is the kayaking. They also had a nice nature center, boat tours and boat rentals. Everything was well kept. Stayed there in Jan. 2017
