In the woods outside of Wilkesboro, NC. As usually the case, pictures show what you don't get. This was probably a really nice place 40-50 years ago but doesn't look like any maintenance has been done in about that length. Campsites have rock under a bed of leaves and dirt in the section I was in. Some of the other sections seemed to be better maintained and looked like permanant people there. Permanant sites overlooking falls looked nice. Other permanant sites not so much. Several long term older campers. Several dogs from multiple campers turned out and run loose. Big potholes in campground roads need repair. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
