Description: Panther Creek has 50 campsites (a few full) complete with water, electrical hookups, grills, picnic tables, fire rings and a bathhouse facility. A laundromat facility is also available. The two bathhouse facilities provide hot showers, commodes and lavatories. The campground also has a dump station for self-contained trailer rigs. Maximum stay is two weeks.

Sites are paved and mostly level. Surprise...free decent wifi!! Lots of hiking, mountain biking (not for the faint of heart) and horseback riding trails. Pool open in the summer. Tennis courts, boat ramp, playground and 18-hole frisbee golf.

Pros: Right on Cherokee Lake, 1 hr to Smoky Mtns
Cons: FHU in only a few spots

We have camped at PCSP 4 or 5 times with our daughters. It is a great campground with a decent amount of space between sites. Sites are all different sizes, so pay attention to the size BEFORE you book. Bath houses are new, clean and feature complete baths - shower, toilet, sink; in each. Laundry features one set of washer/dryer. The campground is on very uneven ground, so to go around the loop, you must climb a rather substantial hill, but sites are decently level. The playground within the park is a pretty good hike from the campground, but our daughters LOVED the park. There is also a pool adjacent to the playground. Hiking trails traverse throughout the campground and on to other areas of the park. There is a dump station on the exit road from the campground.
