Description: The good news is that it is within 5 minutes of 40/26, if you're willing to put up with the bad...

The access road from the interstate is awful; so twisty that you need to stop if somebody is coming into one of the many curves. Narrow access road and deadly shoulders on the hill side.

The girl at the desk has the personality of a third-shift toll booth operator, and couldn't care less if what you wanted isn't what they gave you.

The owner is inaccessible for complaints that transcend the desk tramp. She won't give name or contact information for him. We've been there for many visits and today she informed us that our spot had been rented to somebody else and.....tough beans. Those that RV to Asheville know how hard it is to find a site during fall color tour...

Try Lakeside RV in Flat Rock and you'll find nice people, they keep their word, and are easy to get to.

Pros: Close to Biltmore, if that was your goal
Cons: LOTS of interstate noise all day long, poorly kept, bad CS

Stink bugs are everywhere around that site, and I don't know exterminating, but the bugs are worse and when they infest your coach, they don't all die for a year or more )...don't smash them or "stink bug" will become apparent. You have to vacuum them up every week or so in hopes of attrition being the cause of their demise.
Stink bugs are a definite second to the nasty girl at the counter...but not that far back from the top of pile.
