Pros:

Very clean

Cons:

tight spaces

Very small tight spots up a steep hill. Extremely clean restrooms. We were there on a holiday weekend and they only had one spot with no sewer. Wanted another charge to dump before we hooked up.

Most enjoyable time there for several nights in August 2016. Close to Asheville, just off of I40. No traffic nor train noise.

Some sites so,so. Very steep access
|

We stayed here late April 2019. We unhooked the toad in a parking lot just off the highway. This campground is basically the side of a mountain with a plateau at the top. Our site was way up at the top (site 41). After checking in, a staff member will guide you with a golf cart to your site. The drive up is paved but very steep. I was concerned that my 35ft gas coach would not make it, but it did. There is various sites on the way up that are "terraced" into the mountain. Some have access roads on both sides. Then there is the fist terrace with sites 22-25. Those could be quite nice. Then you continue up to the large terrace with about 19 sites. The ones right at the cliff have a wood deck and have a great view. Some site (like ours) has very little privacy. I would prefer a angled site (27-32) or the way end site 38. We did not check out the bathroom facilities, but there was a separate facility also with laundry at the top. We did have some torrential rainfall one day and the water ran off quite well. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is quite easy from this location and Asheville is also only a few minutes away. The campground has various sites that would easily fit a 45ft rig. We will be back if we can get one of the sites with a bit more privacy.
