Description: This was the cleanest with emaculate showers, bathrooms, laundryroom with stainless steel folding table and clothes rack. Within 3 minutes of someone vacating a site, maintenance checked the site, raked any loose gravel from grass areas, checked for anything that was not perfect on the site. A wonderfully equipted and clean exercise room. The only campground I remember being any cleaner was Disneys Fort Wilderness back in the 1980's.
Sites were extremely level and were cut out of the side of a mountain. Landscaping and heavily treed.
Security gate at entrance just past the office and store. Propane available. The most friendly and helpful management ever! PS: Add'l sites being added all the way up to the top of the mountain with 360 degree views under construction.

Pros: Very clean
Cons: tight spaces

Very small tight spots up a steep hill. Extremely clean restrooms. We were there on a holiday weekend and they only had one spot with no sewer. Wanted another charge to dump before we hooked up.

Pros: Clean and nicely shaded. Many pull thru spaces. Well run.
Cons: Hillside but doable.

Most enjoyable time there for several nights in August 2016. Close to Asheville, just off of I40. No traffic nor train noise.

Pros: Clean, Plenty of activities and the new Deluxe patio site was awesome.
Cons: Train noise. But after a couple of passes I didnt pay it any mind.

We stayed the weekend of October 21st 2016. They had a pumpking carving contes and pet costume contest. Really enjoyed the Patio and fire ring at our site. Will definately sat there again.

Pros: Clean, good views at top, claose to Blue Ridge Parkway
Cons: Some sites so,so. Very steep access

We stayed here late April 2019. We unhooked the toad in a parking lot just off the highway. This campground is basically the side of a mountain with a plateau at the top. Our site was way up at the top (site 41). After checking in, a staff member will guide you with a golf cart to your site. The drive up is paved but very steep. I was concerned that my 35ft gas coach would not make it, but it did. There is various sites on the way up that are "terraced" into the mountain. Some have access roads on both sides. Then there is the fist terrace with sites 22-25. Those could be quite nice. Then you continue up to the large terrace with about 19 sites. The ones right at the cliff have a wood deck and have a great view. Some site (like ours) has very little privacy. I would prefer a angled site (27-32) or the way end site 38. We did not check out the bathroom facilities, but there was a separate facility also with laundry at the top. We did have some torrential rainfall one day and the water ran off quite well. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is quite easy from this location and Asheville is also only a few minutes away. The campground has various sites that would easily fit a 45ft rig. We will be back if we can get one of the sites with a bit more privacy.
