This review is based on a two week stay in April 2006. The CG is neat, clean and quiet. General maintenance is outstanding, with nothing broken or out of place. WIFI is free and actually works and is realiable. The CG is convenient to I10, I35 and I410. The store is fully stocked and staff is very friendly and helpfull. I would stay here again. While I do not remember the price I paid, as most KOAs', it was a bit pricy. For me the value received was free WIFI and convenience to the above mentioned Interstate highways. It was also near where I wanted to be.

Active flood plain on Salado Creek, subject to high water flooding during heavy rainfall upstream. Relatives stayed here in October, 1998. The day after they left the area received 10 inches of rain. Salado Creek watershed flooded and there was 10 feet of water in this campground. RV's were up-ended, some washed away. I personally saw a motorhome upside down and half way up a tree.
Stay clear of this one if it is going to rain a lot.

Large, but exceptionally good KOA. We only overnighted, but there was city bus service just outside of the entrance to get one quickly to the Alamo plus a regional bike/running trail running around the park that likewise enabled access to this terrific city. I was delighted to get an excellent breakfast from the on-site grill/snack bar. Have stayed at many KOAs and IMO, this is one of the very best of the brand.
