Description: Sam, Gizmo, and I would like to say hey to all the wonderful people we had the opportunity to meet this year. It was our pleasure to spend time with you on and in the river and to introduce you to our special giant friends. It is our greatest wish that each and every one of you took away that special something that only the manatees can give. John, you are one special young man. I know in my heart you are going to make a big difference in this world. You and David remember the manatees and keep paddling. We hope to see you and your family next year. ManateeRose and Lenny, can't wait to see you! All the people at the resort, see you next year, and happy journeys. Vicki and Lyn, isn't it time to leave the snow and come and play?
Music OK, CHECK THIS OUT! The Florida Game and Wildlife Management has done a "census" for the last ten years. The census showed, except for in 2002(when the numbers dropped to 1,800), there has been 3000 manatees, approximately, in the world. THE WORLD!!!! So, because of the "census data," our Florida leaders have decided to take our beloved manatees off the extinction list and down grade them to endangered. The truth people is that the land on the water is going for BIG MONEY. The people who have the big money and who want to buy the land do not want to go slowly down the river where the manatees live three months out of the year. And to complicate things, water is becoming a real problem for most of the other states. Florida has many springs that pour out millions of gallons of fresh water every day. Our Florida leaders are now tapping the springs and selling the water to the highest bidders. Unfortuately, the manatees survival depends on their winter lives in the springs. Here are my last thoughts on the subject. HELLO---STUPID GUYS IN OFFICE---THE MANATEES ARE AT THE TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN, SO ARE WE. YEA, THE WATER AND THE LAND AROUND IT IS WORTH A LOT BUT IF YOU DRAIN ALL THE FRESH WATER SOURCES FOR MONEY, THE RIVERS DRY UP, THE MANATEES DIE, THE LAND VALUES DIE, AND WE DIE FROM LACK OF FRESH WATER. WE SAVED THE ALLIGATOR, WHALES, EAGLES FROM EXTINCTION WHY NOT THE MANATEES? I WONDER WHAT YOU WOULD DO IF IT THE LAST 3000 KIDS ON THIS PLANET.all is free.no fees no donations.just 2 people trying to make a difference.3527480678 .myspace.com/manateemomma
