Description: Very well manicured and management and personnel great. Right on the coast with miles of beach to explore. Also some super tide pools. Place for all ages. Great sea food in the marina. Lots of things to do and see in area. Do bring you toad with you. Super Walmart, Mills Casino plus much more with in 15 minutes of site..
When home sells this is where we are planning our first month. Spent a lot og weekends here.

Pros: Beautiful beach to romp on, but watch our for the little jellies
Cons: Not the easiest to get to from NB 101!!!

Stayed here one night on our way from CA to OR -- beautiful beach. The ride from 101 to the park was a little difficult with all the curves and downhills and uphills in a 40' with a Jeep Liberty in tow, but we made it safely.

The park was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We are planning on returning when we can spend more than just one night!!!!

Pros: Lovely beach
Cons: Cost

We had hoped to stay there during our summer trip, but after they quoted us the price of $60 a night (2adults/3kids) we said no thanks. A few years ago I wrote in our travel log that we only paid $35. We stayed instead at Sunset Bay SB, just around the corner, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and it was $26/night with FHU.

Pros:
Cons:

Just spent three nights here, and the beach is FABULOUS! They had a special for veterans, stay two nights and the third is free. Not sure if this is available high season, but it worked for us at the end of April.

Facilities were clean and office staff were friendly, though they have a strange policy of charging $5 for an extra car (not charged for a toad) which we had to pay when a friend came to visit for dinner.

You can walk for miles on the beach, and there are also State Parks nearby with forested hiking trails.

Avoid coming in from the south on W. Beaver Hill/Seven Devils Rd unless you like narrow, twisty roads. Better to come through Coos Bay from the north on Cape Arago Highway.
