Description: Paved interior roads and campsites, many are pull throughs. The "North Area Campground" has electric and water hookups. Many sites have a view of the lake.

Pros: Lake views
Cons: Most sites are without shade

This is a destination campground for water lovers in New Mexico. It is one of the most visited lakes in the state. Our site, in Zia, had a picnic shelter and a fire ring. The state was working on new sites when we were there in mid-May '07, so we would expect some nice improvements. We stayed here in a 36' MH one night as a stop over.
