Pros: The VIEW
Cons: No hook ups, traffic and trains

I wasn't going to post this campground because it is usually too crowded to get into a site, but RV'ers traveling Highway 101 between Santa Barbara and LA shouldn't miss the chance to spend a few nights here when possible. Rincon is the middle campground between Hobson and Faria. Faria and Hobson have full hookups for $45 per night.

Rincon is on the side of the road (the shoulder). There is no water, electric or sewer. Check out the link to find dump stations. The sites are end to end. You had better be good at parallel parking. Some sites have very little space between the RV and the breakwater. Some of the good sites, with more width, are around 100-120. Highway 101 is close by and the railroad is closer yet to the RV sites. With the sound of the ocean we were rarely bothered by the traffic and trains, but did feel the vibrations from the train a few times.

The great part of this campground is the view. Parking on the side of the road, end to end, means your 40' spot has an unobstructed view.

This campground is very popular with the locals and fills quickly. You may not be able to find a spot all summer long. Good luck and enjoy.

Pros: The view
Cons: Hard to find a space

We live about 30 minutes from the Rincon Parkway, actually our trailer is there now. Mr. Hellonwheels secured a site Thursday morning and I, with with dog in tow drove down and after work and enjoyed happy hour viewing the sun setting over the ocean, dinner under the stars, and listened to waves crashing on the beach. We both drove into work today and can't wait to return to our paradise for the rest of our weekend. This is dry camping at it's finest, there are porta-potties about every 20 spaces. I actually like the sound of the train as it passes by - to me it's just part of the experience.

Pros: What View
Cons: No power, water or sewer

Very beautiful view of Ocean and sounds so great. We have stayed here and waited for a spot at Faria. Love Faria and Hobson is good too. Also Emma Woods is nice but no P,E or S there either, but the sunsets are unbelievable. Next going to try Point Mago, no P,E or S there either but right on the beach with you own private fire pit and table, doesn't get much better than that!
