Description: Very nice state park with great sites with electric and water with a three lane dump station on the way out.The beaches here can't be beat and the wooded areas where the sites are well maintained. Bath house was spottless but no heat in winter months is very cool. They also have a washer and dryer and cloths line if you like to let them hang at each bath area. The TV comes in off local stations on ant. is clear.Finaly there is a nice camp store( Island Joe's) with cafe and WiFi.We camped here in 34' motor home with plenty of room for larger units. The site we had #38 was 30x50 in the shade and very level. We will be back.

Pros: beautiful scenery, lush foliage in site area, on beach, close to St. Augustine
Cons: Six sites available for 40 foot rigs

Wished we could have stayed longer. Would love to return. Nicely maintained w/out "groomed" feeling. Nature trails, fairly private, treed sites.

Pros: clean, shaded sites, lots of nearby activities
Cons: some sites difficult to get into

We live in Florida and this is one of our favorites. The beach is beautiful and when the tide is out you can ride bikes on the hardened sand along the waterline - kind of neat. The sites are shaded with enough space between to feel private. Some sites are tight and difficult to get into but not all are like that. Restrooms are clean. Saint Augustine is nearby and if you haven't been there, it's worth seeing - very neat little town with lots of American history and great shopping. This is one we return to which means we like it.

Pros: huge beach accessible by walkways
Cons: loops are a bit tight at ends

One of my favorites! Clean sites but a little tough getting in and out with 38 ft. or above. Not so much the sites themselves but the end of the road loop. Clean restrooms/showers. Beautiful beach but not visible from campsites. Nice little store with free wifi. The beach is on the other side of the dunes and accessible by walkways. St. Augustine is very pretty with lots attractions. Plenty of good restaurants ... many on the water. There is an "Outlet Mall" within a 1/2 hour of park if shopping is your thing.

Pros: One second favorite CG!
Cons: Ticks!

We live in Florida, and this is our second favorite CG, except for the ticks. Even with tick collars, our dogs always get ticks in the CG. We camp often, and we never have this problem at other campgrounds, but we sure do in Anastasia. We love the grounds, the beach and of course St. Augustine. We hate the ticks though....
