Description: Turtle Creek flows through the campground and UNDER the rec hall. Heated outdoor pool, and a thing called Street Golf! Very friendly people. About 1 mile from a state park with lots of manatees. All the usual hookups. This isn't a fancy place but it is very nice.

Pros: close to the Gulf
Cons: old permanent RV

Never stayed here but checked the campground a couple times. Campground has lots of old RVs that are in poor condition and parked permanently. Campground has a jungle like appearance from all the tropical overgrown tropical vegetation. I would not stay here.

Pros: Mature landscaping, quiet, clean, safe
Cons: Typical old Florida CG. Many seasonal RVs

Stayed for a week in July 06. The bottom line is I would stay there again. If you have children, this may not be the CG for you. Mostly 55+ people and the corresponding activities. Arriving from the North do not take Halls River Road to the CG. There is a bridge with a 10 ton weight limit and FLA DOT is almost always there. On Rt 19, go past Halls River Road (South bound) and take the next right (at the traffic light. This will bring you to the CG from the South.
