Description: This campground was brand new in 2006. Wide concrete roads and pads with small patios. The Lakes has 87 sites with about 20 pull thru and some pull ins facing a small pond. Just a little over a mile east of highway 99 at the Robertson Blvd exit in Chowchilla.

Pros: Clean, new, close to Hyw 99,
Cons: No shade trees yet!

We stayed here three times in the winter of 2006. The Lakes has excellent hook-ups, nice concrete pads and small patios. The trees are still small and it is in the San Jaoquin Valley so it will be hot in the summer. They offer a free round of golf with a stay at the resort. The Lakes has a private entrance controlled by an electric gate for which you are given a transmitter for, it keeps the traffic down. The Lakes is far enough off the freeway to be quiet.

Pros: Nice long Flat paved sites very clean and secure
Cons: It's in California so the grass is turning brown no water

The park is well maintained bathroom's and shower's also are very clean 9 out of 10 rating. The pool area very nice but the hot tub is a little small.

If you are a golfer this is a must. For every night you pay for you get 2 rounds of golf per night. You can walk to the golf course and pick up your cart and come back to you RV get the clubs and head back. The course is a par 36 with some difficult holes. Very nice course.

Every time I head North or South this is a must stay for me US99 take the East Robertson exit about to miles and your there.

Pros: Very clean, very quiet
Cons: Pretty remote from anything.

This place is like Motorcoach CountryClub (Indio CA) on a smaller scale; one of our favorite places to stay. Great service, fabulous pool, especially during the hot weather. Nice separation between sites using bushes. Some sites finished off with pavers and outdoor grill by private owners. Gated with security remote for entry during your stay. Right next to the golf course - a round of golf included with the fee.

Pros: Nice park - well maintained and the golf looked interesting
Cons: Some pads starting to crack, but not as much as identified in another site review

We liked the park. Gated community had a nice feel. Location is a bit off the normal path, but the golf seems to be a good draw. Clean and well laid out. We'll go back.

Pros: Newer, gated, not far down the Avenue
Cons: Sites sold are not available for office to rent

This is a full function park and about 130 miles from the SF Bay Area. It is far enough off 99 to be reasonably quiet. We used a Good Sam discount. We have been to this park twice. The owned sites seem to suffer from landscaping neglect as grass has died from lack of water in many places around the park. Suspect the location and $$$s puts this park out of interest except for the golf oriented. The owner sites with for rent signs might be an interesting back story. Staff was a little standoffish, but got us registered and settled in the one pull through they had available.

Prior visit above was in an RV and 23ft trailer. We had a back-in site for that visit.
