Description: This is a state park with a camp ground, Lodge, and a real nice golf course. Its located about 10 miles west of I-75 south of Cordele on highway 280W The sites and roads are paved and some sites are on the water. Golfing is in the park so it is very convient. Fishing is bank accessible and is very good. It has a large meeting room for groups and has some old WWII airplanes and artifacts. The grounds are well maintained and the park is well kept. We have stayed here several times.

Pros: Has full hook-ups with sewer. Clean RRs and grounds
Cons: None

This is a state park that keeps the limbs trimed and roads are easy to travel. It is big rig friendly. Nice place to bring the family and kids. The fishing is good here and you can fish off the grass (cut) banks. s/Toby

Pros: It is clean and well maintained
Cons: out of state pay extra

Any time I have to pay extra because I'm from out of state they lose my business,
I never return to these campgrounds, nore buy in their stores, sorry thats just the way I feel.
A lot of states are going this way and I believe it's a mistake. They lose a lot more than they get from the extra they charge in the campgrounds.

Pros: Lake front sites, super view, golf course
Cons: None

This is a great Georgia State Park with very nice lake front sites where you can beach your boat. Restrooms were clean and the lake beautiful. Enjoy the Museum and the Golf Course.
