Description:

This is a well maintained private (PPA Park) park located just north of Maggie Vally on Hw 276 and just south of I-40. It has about 114 sites all on Gray gravel with a gravel road. Its located along side Jonathan creek. On the weekends, they have a "cold" pancake b'fast and in the evening they usually have some vocal group perform. Very nice place to stay. I'd rate this place an 8.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It had been about 2 years since are last visit and the park is better than before. Close to Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Gatlinburg and for motorcycle enthusiast the "Wheels thru Time " museam...If you live within 250 miles and with fuel so high, we strongly recommend this park for a weeks stay...Peace...D

We stayed there a couple of days the first of November 2014 to catch a predicted snowfall in the area. The snow was beautiful!
This is a beautiful CG, right beside a nice fast-flowing stream. The roads and sites are all level with limestone. The only negative I can mention is that the sites are "straight in" from the road, not angled, so it makes it kind of tricky to get in with a big rig.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi was good at our site in the middle toward the north end (I could see the Wi-Fi antenna).

I've been Full-Time just over a year now. I've learned there are "pass-thru" or "destination" campgrounds.. This is a destination!
Last summer (2015) I checked in for a week, extended for a month.. stayed 4 months!
1st night I caught a nice 14 inch dinner size trout in the Jonathan Creek. The entire site is kept like a golf course, trimmed, clean, laundry/bathhouses are perfect. Cool nights, shady evenings..
Rates are in-line with a "Better" RV park. Sites available directly on the Jonathan Creek .. some are "up-scaled with cement pads, rough iron furniture and fire places. Many center campground pull thru's for Rigs up to 70 ft. and creek off one side gives additional water-side lots.
Across the highway from Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Elk seen every evening up there. Family oriented. Seeking younger clientele as the market grows more youthful. Weekend live music and monthly "Camp-wide cook-outs" Sponsored by owner!
Many campers are every year returns.. call before you go! Booked up many weekends.
