Description:
|
Large campground ( about 275 sites ) located about an hour SW. of Cleveland. About 1/3 of the sites now have electric service. The site pads are gravel. There is a 8 mile mountain bike trail, which is very muddy in the wet season. Along with the hiking trails, they too are very muddy. Most sites are level, shady or part shady. The lake is good for kayaking or canoeing. There is a disc golf area (9 holes ). There is a nice, clean beach area. Over-all a nice quiet park.

This is a great state park. There is a lot of stuff for kids to do. Biking, hiking, fishing, Frisbee golf. 90 or so electric sites. Mostly level gravel pads. We camp here every year and the kids love it.

Update: They now have 18 holes of disc golf....(2013)
The nature center burned down in late 2012...in the process of funding a re-build.....
