I think I've figured it out . . . it's the batterries (the so-called brand new batteries they said they put in.) One morning last week when it got down to about -13 overnight, I once again awoke to no heat. I started the motorhome's engine to run the cab heater and lo and behold the furnace kicked in. Same thing this morning, was cold last night, woke up to no heat, fired up the engine, presto! furnace kicks in.

Well, they didn't replace the furnace, but they fixed it. Last night was -23 C and the motorhome stayed toasty warm, so I'm happy.
Today I'm waiting out road conditions, tomorrow I travel. I'll post pics. ***UPDATE*** The reason the furnace worked was because I was plugged in to shore power. I didn't know that was the reason at the time, have since figured it out. |
