AC is fixed...and insurance heads up

It took a week for those AC parts to get to us but it was still worth the trouble of tracking them down to save every dollar. Those old Dometic duotherm units have been replaced with upgraded technology as you would expect but a good RV man can find the replacement part number for you. Rigging it up is another story. Since it was not a 'plug and play' system we had to get help--Branson Mobile RV Service to the rescue. We called those two guys, whose names this would be reporter failed to note, at...

AC problems, weatherman calls for high humidity!

My worst fear has come upon me! I have been trying for absolutely years to get out of Houston, unarguably the humidity capital of the world--we do claim the AC capital of the world for real. When we arrived in Branson, Missouri two and a half weeks ago the humidity was the same as we thought we were leaving 623 miles behind. But we kicked on the AC and overhead fan...rested comfortably until the humidity died down to what we consider June norms for Branson. To my delight it's been relatively dry...

Houston to Branson's Better Route

We've have always had a booger of a time getting from Houston where we have a home our adult children now live in, to Branson, Missouri where our 5th wheel has been parked the past 18 months--and that is a long, long, story. We usually wind up taking 59 because it's the most direct but besides being ugly or simply uninteresting there is no real highway 59, it appears to be bits and pieces of other highways so you have to keep alert for turns off of a perfectly decent freeway, we wind up on that...
