Truck Systems Technologies Provides “Easy” Solution

Posted on November 18, 2012 by Mike Pelchat

Since day one after I purchased the TST Model 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TST) (TPMS), I have had to remove sensors to add air when required. On the rear duals this was not so much of a problem since the sensor was sitting on an open valve stem which is connected to a Crossfire...

Hey Guys ...

This is my first post subsequent to installing Windows 8 Pro.

Here's what you get in the retail package ... 32 and 64 Bit install software, I used the 64 right away. if you put in the 32 it'll tell you to switch over if you have enough hardware to support 64 Bit.

The Windows 8 Pro retail package consists of a slide over windowed cover, a hinged package,...

New Hi-Density Mattress Topper Saves the Month!

Posted 10-16-2012 at 08:40 AM by DriVer (Welcome To My Blog!)
Updated 10-16-2012 at 09:52 AM by DriVer

Although we have what can be considered a big step up from the OEM RV mattress in our motorhome, we were beginning to get that achy back syndrome when getting up in the morning. It was getting to be no fun so to improve our comfort we attempted a few mattress pad products on the market with little to no benefit in the long run.

We initially purchased a mattress pad from Camping World and we tried that for a while but in time it was more of the same discomfort. The pad came out of a...

Installing the 360 RV Universal Holding Tank Roof Vent Siphon Cap

Posted 07-14-2012 at 09:28 PM by DriVer (Welcome To My Blog!)
Updated 07-29-2014 at 06:58 AM by DriVer

One of the most important systems on our recreational vehicles are the holding tanks. Some RVs will have multiple holding tanks and what is placed in the tanks needs to be vented for a number of reasons. If there is any pressure in a tank and a person opened a blade on a toilet, that could be a very unpleasant experience - therefore venting prevents any surprises.

Although most RVs have 2 tanks,...

Updated 03-08-2012 at 08:26 PM by DriVer

From RV D@aily Report:

By Greg Gerber @ 12:41 PM

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Quoting a spokesman for the RV Industry Association, the South Bend Tribune reported yesterday that high gasoline prices don't diminish the economic advantage RVing has to offer until the price reaches $10 per gallon.

"The fuel prices don't really impact RV sales quite the way a lot of people might think," Kevin...

Fan-Tastic Vent Comes Through On 8 Year Old Fan

Posted 09-17-2011 at 05:19 PM by DriVer (Welcome To My Blog!)
Updated 09-17-2011 at 05:32 PM by DriVer

This past week or so we went to Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach to camp with some very good friends of ours. All worked well up until the very last day.

I wanted to take a shower and naturally I would reach for the wall switch to crank up my Fantastic Fan like I always have for the past 8 years. I waited and waited but the dome never opened. The motor was indeed running but no-joy.

I toggled the wall switch to off and although I saw the wheel rotating in...

These pictures were taken at the FMCA 86th Family Reunion Rally in Madison, Wisconsin. Seen is the 2012 40PDQ Holiday Rambler Ambassador. Throughout this rally event, temperatures were somewhat below normal in the mid - to high 70s. During the week prior to our arrival, temperatures were in the 90s with high humidities. We could not have had better weather than was enjoyed during the week of the reunion rally. The rally was held at the Alliant Energy Center.

The 2012 40PDQ Monaco Knight

Posted 09-02-2011 at 06:59 PM by DriVer (Welcome To My Blog!)
Updated 09-14-2011 at 05:41 AM by DriVer

As seen in Madison, WI at the FMCA 86th Family Reunion Rally I took these pictures of the new 2012 40DPQ Monaco Knight. What personally struck me as an attention grabber, was the detail in the front cap. Gone are the days when you can't pick out one motorhome from another in a row. The design statement by the new Monaco lineup for 2012, is bold and will leave no doubt in the eye of the beholder. Even the rear cap, typically a non event, is an attention grabber.
