Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

It is almost Christmas. We have stayed home for the last two months and just spent the time helping out my sister with the girls. We did take down the screened in room about the middle of Nov. This was done in advance of a storm/wind warning. At one point I think we had wind gusts around 80kmh. Really rocked HOWie. My uncle has moved in beside us from Creston, BC. He has a MH that he wants to trade for another 5er that is winter proof. The current MH has no insulation so tanks will freeze on him. So we keep looking. There is no snow here as yet & the white stuff is not going to make an appearance here on Vancouver island for a while yet. We will have a green Christmas. That is ok as I do not have to shovel rain & the temperature is awesome, I can still go out in a sweater & light gloves or mitts. I have been doing some Christmas baking, shortbread & ginger cookies. We lucked out this time by being in the right place at the right time. We had been tossing the idea of getting another hottub (but smaller than our 7 person we had at the S&B). Finally took the plunge & went to a nearby dealership & looked at the used 2 person models. The salesman said he had a smaller, 2 yr old model that was coming in later in the day. The family had bought a larger one & wanted him to sell the old one. We went back 2 hours later and bought a 2009 Arctic Spa, 2 person long oval tub. OMG...we now can say we have the best of the all worlds. Living FT & a hottub. It plugs into a normal outlet on HOWie. We will have to see how much hydro we use in a month with the tub. When we leave this CG for extended periods of travelling, my sister will be the keeper of the tub.
In October , I hosted a Thanksgiving potluck here in the CG at the common/laundry room. It was a nice turnout with about 20 people in all. I plan on having another one on Dec 31. I guess I should get busy & get the invites printed off. Have a wonderful holiday filled with lots of great memories, Jeannine
