Extended Warranty Contracts

Beware of what type contract you sign. We purchased a extended warranty on our motor home at time of purchase in 2004. When our generator quit working and needed two ignition coils our "Easy Care" contact told us they were not covered because they were not included in the agreement. This is called an "inclusionary" agreement. The better type to purchase are "exclusionary". Basically on these if it is not excluded on the agreement it is covered.
Please pass this along to friends and family to warn them of the pitfalls of extended warranty agreements. Especially EasyCare. Consumer beware!

Wow, jcollopy...I got toasted by Star...I purchased one of those extended warranty plan and since my RV dealer business went bust (Best Buy RV, Ohio), I was told none of my chassis was covered....but instead excluded altogether... I then CANX'ed the policy....and got something else which covered coach and chassis..

I bought extended warranty with rebate if not used for full purchase price of warranty, Recevied letter this week stating warranty still good for full 5 years but refund was no longer honored. Not because of use of warranty but company pulled that part off of policy. Doesnt seem like that should be possible
