were covered by the same vinyl the rest of the interior floor was covered with. It wasn't a perfect fit and it was useless for wiping your shoes or bare-feet. It just allowed for the dirt to be further tracked inside the RV. So, I removed the vinyl from the wood and carpeted them with a grey indoor/outdoor carpet from Lowe's ($5.00). Some automotive grade adhesive (3M Super77) and a few staples was all it took to finish the project. I did remove the hardware on the battery door(step) to get the carpet under the bracket.

    Very nice! Should really help to stop all the dirt and debris from tracking inside. Love it and it looks soooo professional. Enjoy your travels
