2/12/2010 At lot happened today, the start of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in conjunction with the “Southern Snowstorm” of 2010. From what was seen on the Weather Channel, Dallas, TX received something like 12 inches of snow and the storm kept on moving Eastward dumping snow on Jackson MS, Atlanta GA, Columbia SC and Charleston, SC. Our Weather Alert Radio’s tones went off sometime early yesterday and advised of a Winter Storm Warning. At that time it was still dry out and one might have questioned...

We had some delays in delivery but are expecting to get the keys on Thursday 2-11-2010.

Latest update, the awnings are being installed and it will be at the dealer on 1-28-2010. I have arranged a private tour of the factory.

An update from Lichtsinn shows a delivery date from the factory of 1-21-2010. HEY! that's only days away!
We have planned to go to Forest City the 2nd week in Feb.

I am sure I will have the ear ofdealer technicians, and possibly someone from the factory. Any questions I should ask?

So, there have been several updates and changes...

I abandoned the idea of towing 4-down. Managed to sell the tow bar and cabling on Ebay and didn't lose any money.

Bought a Tow Master tow dolly w electric brakes. Also bought a spare tire. I installed a Prodigy brake controller in the MH in 40 minutes or less (MH already was wired for it).

GG Quadster ... from Switzerland with a German made motor this is one little rocket sled if one wants to ride the Ultimate Quad. The Quadster was seen on display at the 2009 RVIA Show and on the ramp of a Gulfstream ToyHauler.

We have a VIN # and delivery date of 1-21-2010. We will be traveling to Forest City on the 2nd week of February. Hope it warms up a little at least.

Driver posted a blog entry from the Show in Louisville, KY of the Ellipse 42AD. Silver Sky is the color we ordered. We also are getting the same interior and the fireplace option shown. We did opt for the 4 door fridge and no dishwasher. We like the look and don't really use either the dishwasher or in door ice and water.

The Winnebago Industries exhibit this year did not disappoint me one bit as new models and floor plans abounded and I was pleasantly surprised by some of the new technologies that Winnebago presented for 2010. There were too many rigs for me to review them all however I would like to focus attention on one particular model the Ellipse Model 42AD.

I've decided on the SMI Air Force One for the new Coach. The M&G product is not compatable with my toad (2002 Toyota Sequoia). After some encouraging posts on the Forums, I will be doing a self install.

Workhorse Display 2010 RVIA Exposition

While attending the 2010 RVIA exposition one of the displays that I did not want to miss was the Workhorse exhibit in Booth 3308. In the display were many familiar faces including Bill Walmsley, Alan Stegich and others. The exhibit shares space with a Navistar DURAStar cab and chassis and I was able to speak with the Navistar representative Michael Satlak...

I wanted to visit the Thor displays in particular the 4 Winds and Damon exhibits because I thought that I would see some change over there and I was not disappointed. Arriving at 4 Winds I met up with Jon Krider who works in marketing the 4 Winds Serrano and other models in their lineup. We spoke for a while and caught up on old times. Jon actually participated in our Chat Rooms in the past and we spoke about that. Jon was very busy at the show and I had to catch him in between customers.
