BC's, continued

I got Gogo from a friend whose bitch had had pups. Now, I'm not usually one for making stupid decisions, but when I do, boy, is it a doozey. I, also, took her brother. Bad decision. BAD decision!

At the time, I had a double-wide on 20 acres, where the pups had plenty of room to run and play and exercise.
This was spring in Florida, and I had a beautiful flower garden. Guess where I'm going with this. Yes, of course, in a week's time they had completely destroyed my garden. I had...

Border Collies

Posted 05-02-2009 at 12:21 PM by geaugeausmom

My Border Collie is 3 1/2 years old. She is the most delightful, persistent, laugh-provoking, annoying, loyal, intelligent companion one could have. Gogo(aka Geaugeau) is my first experience with owning a dog--all my own, a house-dog. She dogs(pun intended) my heels, butt, hands every moment of the day. At night, she sleeps right next to my head. She wakes me in the morning by licking whichever arm is out of the cover. Then, she stands over me, pawing at me until I get up.

Limbo

Posted 05-01-2009 at 11:44 PM by geaugeausmom

While I am thinking of a title for my blog, I'll go ahead and blog on. I want to think of an amazing, eye-catching, original title.

Right now I'm sitting at an RV Park at Gila Bend, Arizona, in the Sonoran Desert. This is one of my favorite places on earth; I've been here since December 10, 2008. My plans to leave on April 10, 2009, went ahead, and I went to the Painted Rock Petroglyphs to spend the next 10 days.

The ten days I stayed there were an amazing experience....

LIVING IN THE CLOUDS
Our adventures at Vance Toe River Lodge Campground

Back in June, 2008 Brett bought a used 1995 35í Dutchman Classic 5th Wheel with a 14í Slide out. Thinking it would be great to have for short weekend trips away. Things changed over the months while the camper sat untouched. In December 2008 Brett and I made a trip to my home state of Indiana. On our trip back to Florida we made a stop in the Smokey Mountains and then on to his dadís place

I have a Blog??

Posted 04-25-2009 at 10:48 AM by Robin_M

I just discovered that everyone has a Blog on this new forum software, should they choose to use it. Neat.

This may be the only post I ever make to mine, as just reading the forum messages takes a LOT of time. Still, I'd like to let others who may somehow stumble across this post that I DO have a web site dedictated to our Monaco Diplomat. I enjoy keeping it up...

Camp with a view

There are some things in this world I just don't understand. Why bottled water from a city tap sells for big bucks just because it's labeled 'mountain', why tiny trailers often cost more than large ones and why people choose to camp in a fancy parking lot for 40 dollars a night when you can camp for free with a view.

All things being equal, I'd prefer free water from the tap and a great view. Leave the asphalt campgrounds for others; I want to camp with a view.

Millennial boondocking - no what??

Camping with no services used to mean no water, power or sewer but times are changing! Last week we spent a few days at Wallowa state park in Oregon and while there was power and some other services in the campground, there was no cell or aircard service. Imagine my astonishment - no internet! Getting connected involved driving about 12 miles and mooching off a local provider.

The state park was lovely and just barely opened for the season. While daytime temps were in the mid 60's,...
