We wanted to let you know about a few changes to our Community Rules (link) that we hope will help sustain the 'Friendly Forum' feel that we work hard to maintain here to iRV2.

Over the last few months we have seen a substantial increase in posts that are primarily political in nature and not RV related. They have been divisive to our community and routinely end in closure or removal. To that end we have made the following change:

  • General discussions of politics, general government policies, weaponry, gun rights and religion are not allowed in ANY areas of iRV2. Discussions about specific or pending legislation or regulations that directly pertain to RVing are acceptable but will be closed or removed if they become disruptive.

This change has come about after much consideration by the site team and we are making this change in the hope that this will ease tensions with the impending election season. We are, after all an RV forum and not a political board. Our members come from all walks of life and have a wide range of views about many things. These hot button issues divide our community and as there are many great venues for these topics, we would like to focus on being a great place for RV related discussions.

Thanks for understanding and for your continued helpful and friendly posts; iRV2 members are simply the best.

Thank you so much--it preserves the expectation and conditions I had when I signed up. So you get a big kudo from me anyway,

Thank you. I do not read this forum to become embroiled in a political discussion.

Thanks...I agree. In addition it would be nice to eliminate those PAID pop up political rants.
