Last month, Andy announced a
new feature for iRV2 where YOU, as members, will have the opportunity to have one of your panoramic photos be at the top of our web pages. We got a few submissions with that thread, but I want to see more. I know you folks have some great photos out there that would make fantastic header pictures here.
Just a few reminders on the types of pictures we're looking to display:
Minimum Requirements...
- 1260 pixels wide
- High Quality Photos
- The cropped area will be roughly 8.4 times as wide as it is high (1260 x 150 pixels)
When you are selecting photos for submission, the right side of the photo may not display for those with smaller monitors. If you have a wide screen monitor you get the whole photo, but if you have a more standard monitor about 20% of the right side of the photo gets chopped off. Also, the iRV2 logo displays over the header on the left side. So if the "sweet spot" of your photo gets covered up by the logo, it might not make a good submission.
We want to have a new header photo each month so we will be starting a contest where you will vote on submitted photos for becoming our header. Please submit your photos to me at Lstewart [at] IRV2.com by March 15th. I'll review them, crop as necessary & follow with a voting poll. The photo with the most votes from you will be the header photo for April.
So, in the meantime, to get the ball rolling, please visit the poll in the iRV2.com General Discussion Forum to vote for our header photo for March.
