'04 BRAVE passenger window seal leaking at bottom.

Greetings and salutations Ladies and Gents,
The passenger side window seal is leaking on the bottom in just one place. 'Course it may be comming from somewhere else but finding it's way to that one spot before dripping. It is dry all of the way around except that one eighth inch spot below the sliding window. Kind of in the middle of the sliding window. Hope I didn't confuse you all. Anybody having this sort of problem?
I'm thinking of putting a small bead of clear silicone all of the way around the outside edge of the inside passenger window. I'm sure this would work okay but would it be hokey?
Of course the '04'BRAVE just ran out of warrenty.

You may want to start at the top and work your way down. The top would be the seam between the roof and the front cap, then just work your way down not neglecting the gutter sealant the entire length of the coach on your way down to the windows. These seams need to be checked every six months or so anyways so it is just time to run through them and recaulk as the situation requires.

If the water is leaking over the top of the bottom track of the sliding window then you may need to clean out the drain holes in the bottom track. Caulking the sliding window to the track should not be required.

I'll second what Neil V says, and add a thought. Take the amber lenses off your roof marker lamps from the center over to the passenger side. Inspect lamp housings to see if water's been geeting in there. When water gets in those clearance lights, it can go a lot of places inside the front cap.

I meant to say that I would put a small bead of silicon between the outside edge of the window "frame" and the inside wall.
I'll check the window track drains first.
Hmmmm, I never thought of checking the seam caulking. I was hoping that the problem wasn't that scary, but I'll do that. Thanks for the info Neil V and troth.

Well, you guys were right on the money!!
I found two holes in the front cap-to-roof seal. Both were 1 1/2 inch holes just forward of the gutters on each side. They were at the cap corners. When it rained the water would slosh right into the holes.
The RV dealer gave me the caulking (REALLY gooey sticky and messy stuff) to seal it with. It worked and no more leak.
Dear wife and I used a hose to locate the leak, but it wasn't until I was up close to the top of the window when I looked up and found the obvious hole. So I put the water there and sure enough we found the leak. By the way, you can't spot the holes from the top of the roof. You have to be below the gutter as it blocks your view of the holes.
Hmmm....I think maybe I should check the rear cap-to-roof seal, now that I'm at it!

You might want to consider using Eternabond tape on those seams. If you do, you will likely never have to worry about those seams as long as you own the rig.
