04 Journey 39K, check this recall notice

There are several 04 39K owners on this forum and I want to alert you to a recall by W. that you may or may not have known about, especially if you are a newer purchaser.

There was a recall for the roof vent of the refer for certain serial #s. It was apparently cut in the wrong position and is not centered over the refer coils, it is offset and some of the coils sit under the roof. This was labeled as a fire hazzard and decreases the cooling capacity during hot weather. You can check yours by going up top and unscrewing the vent cover and take a look. The dealer will recut the hole(more to the rear) and patch the roof(about 6-8 inches) and re-install the vent cover.

The notice that I saw was for all 2004 Journeys equipped with a 4 door refrigerator ... is there another recall notice?

I googled 2004 Winnebago Journey recall ...

No, I do not have the serial #'s involved. Ours was a build date of 11/03. This is the only recall notice I know of. It looks like they cut the hole for a standard refer vs. the 4 door.
