04 Journey on Workhorse Chassis Queston

Went to Sac Truck today to have them do a general inspection of the chassis on my rig. When looking at the steering assy. They noticed that the ball joints along the drag links was ground down in way that the service mgr and tech where not sure of. It almost appears to be done deliberately. Could this be engineered, like to get a better turning radius. That is what I thought of when he mentioned his not knowing what was going on. Anyways, tomorrow I will take some pictures if I get a chance unless someone knows what I am asking about.

Yes. Its a little known fact that Workhorse made RDP chassis, but they did. I believe WBGO purchased ~200 of them before FCCC got worried. Originally they were 28-32K GVWR chassis with Cummins engines. The last of the breed used Cat engines. Shortly after WBGO began using them, FCCC signed WBGO to an "exclusive" DP chassis supplier agreement, and Spartan did the same at Newmar. That left Workhorse with very few volume customers for their new DP chassis, but they continued offering them until Navistar closed down the company.
