Hello;

I found the Winnebago part number for the headlamp assembly 'with bulb' but it doesn't state the bulb used:

148629-01-000 - Passemger Headlamp, High/Low with bulb
148629-02-000 - Driver Headlight, High/Low with bulb

How can I cross-reference the OEM bulbs with replacement Sylvania SiverStar bulbs? The lighting at night is so poor, I'm hoping this might brighten things up a little more...

Thanks for any help...

The headlight assembly is made by Kaper II; the part number is V-3800-R (right) and V-3800-L (left). This assembly is used on the 1999-2002 Chevrolet Silverado. Low beam bulb is a 9006 and the high beam is a 9005. But the Sightseer parts catalog information states that there is a high beam bulb and a low/high beam bulb; I can't seem to be able to cross-reference the low/high beam bulb. And I know that Chevrolet products have been running Daylight Running Lights for some time, which I would think would require a dual element. Guess I'll try to get the bulbs out of the assembly for a better look...

UPDATE: Went over to the RV storage and checked things out for my self:

High beam bulb is a 9005. (HB3 is marked on the headlight lens and bulb.)

Low beam bulb is a 9006 (HB4 is marked on the headlight lens and bulb.)

The DRL is actually the high beam bulb, I guess it runs at a reduced power setting. (Bulb closest to the grill, clear side of headlight lens.) The low beam bulb is in the middle of the lens. Hopefully I can replace these with the Sylvania SilverStars and get some improvement in night vision.

I did find a great website: www.lampzilla.com that shows lighting products for motorhomes like Winnebago, Fleetwood, National RV, Country Coach, Newmar, Monaco, etc and cross-references the headlight assembly with its automobile use. The headlight assembly for the Sightseer is $78; NAPA online price: $240!

Thanks for the Lampzilla web link. I have bookmarked the appropriate pages for my motorhome. I hope that I never need to replace head light or tail light fixtures.
