Need some suggestions as to what your thoughts are regarding the Heat-pump has quit working:
Background: Turned the HP on last night. Temp was 52 degrees. HP turned on and worked perfectly. Temp fell to 38 degrees last night. HP shut off and propane took over. This is the usual way it happens when the temp gets down around 34-38 degrees. It is now 60 degrees outside currently and heat pump, when set to electric heat, will not come on, only the propane furnace will cycle.
Have owned the coach since new and this situation has neve happened before. Your suggestions are appreciated. (have check all breakers, inside and out and electrical connection at pole).
Thank you.

I'm not sure that this addresses your problem but maybe. There is a sensor in the outdoor unit that locks out the electric heat mode until temps rise above the temp at which it will produce heat. This sensor is what makes the LP furnace operate to satisfy t'stat when outside temps are too low. This sensor may be defective or part of that circuit may be faulty. RV Products may still have troubleshooting manuals for some model numbers on their web site. You may be able to find them on Google but they have changed their name and I don't know the new name. Hope this helps you.

You could try disconnecting power to the thermostat for a little bit and then reconnecting it. That might do some kind of a reset.

KIX's:
I believe you are on to something regarding the "out door sensor". Apparently, the air temp wasn't warm enough in the back of the coach. (coach was facing the sun) Even though the outside temp guage read 58-60 degrees, the air temp by the sensor must have been cooler. By mid morning, the heat pump kicked back on and all seems to be working fine. The HP ran all night long as apparently it didn't get down to that 34-38 range.
Thank you all for the direction and suggestions. Much appreciated.

For future reference, here is a link to service manuals for your heat pump.

Airxcel | RV Products Tech Info

And up under the "Technical Information" tab you'll find User manuals, data sheets, etc.
